We're settling into our new flat quite quickly in Park Slope, Brooklyn.

It's really lovely neighborhood with great people. Zed loves the park where he can run around with other canine friends. He also patrols the streets by sitting on the ledge of the living room window and watching the people stroll along--- I swear I think he was a cat in his past life! We're all happy with our new adobe.

The kitchen is a nice size so bunch of Maki's chef friends are coming over this weekend to cook dinner together. I know it's odd that we'd want to do that when cooking is what we do everyday but it's very different when you're cooking with friends. We compare techniques, give hints and ideas, what makes a great salad(my recent new discovery; grilled watermelon salad) and where to buy what. It's fun and I love it when I'm around a bunch of foodies!
